Default Hi all, I'm a newbie and have a couple of questions

Hi there,

I've been reading the forum and it's been tremendously helpful.
So I must say thank you very much to all who contribute in the forum.

Sam is our first yorkie and he is just over 7months old now.
He is the most affectionate, well behaved dog I've ever known..well that is until recently.

He's been acting quite rebellious sometimes like when I tell him to go to bed around 11pm(he knows it's bed time).
Once I tell him to go to bed he runs away from me and runs circle around the lounge room like a mad dog and comes back at me trying to bite my toes. Not real vicious bite but just gentle one.
I suppose he is trying to express his feeling.
Also, he sometimes beg for food around the dinner table, which he was ever known to do before. Not only begging, if I ignore him he sometimes lets out this funny bark.

Honestly, I don't think these are serious issues I think he's rather cute when he shows these rebellious behaviors. But it suddenly struck me the other day that he may be going through adolescence period.
But he is neutered so my question is that do neutered dogs also go through adolescence period and exhibits those rebellious behavior? I hope it passes. What's your experience with this matter?

Another question is, as we live in New Zealand, there aren't many options available when it comes down to dog food.
Fortunately I could get hold of a person who imports Canidae so I have been feeding him Canidae all life stage kibble but Sam is not too keen on it.
In fact, he's not too keen on any kibble. We tried 5 to 6 different dry dog food but he never eats enough.

I recently found out a local dog food company which is highly regarded here and in Australia. Ziwipeak is the name and they make these air dried natural meat meal but when I researched about the food in question I found out their air dried real meat meal contains around 65% of meat.
I'm worried it possibly has too high level of protein.
I vaguely remember reading somewhere in the forum yorkies can't cope with the food which contains a very high level of protein. Am I just too worried? should I just try them for a while?

Anyway, we love our Sam very much I just want the best for him.
I'll try to attach some pictures of him hope it works.
Thanks for reading.
