I think the difference between 1.7 oz and 2.0 oz is negligible. For ease and convenience, just feed two of the medallions per day. As the pup grows, he will eat/need more anyway. As far as the frozen versus freeze-dried ... I want to get some of the freeze-dried for convenience during travel periods - and because I live in Hurricane Country (it will be quite useful in my "survival kit" for the pup). So far, I haven't used it, but look forward to getting some.

Lucky Pup, getting to go to work with Mommy! I see no reason why the freeze-dried wouldn't work. However, if you have a 'fridge at work for "human goodies", you should be able to slide a little medallion in there without grossing anyone out too much . Besides, once they meet the little furbaby, they'll be more than happy to share space!
