Just for thought...we had the battery to a smoke alarm dying in the garage..The noise was a very high pitched *beep* every 5 minutes..we just found out where it was coming from and took it out..the noise has now stopped and she seems to be calming...could this have caused her behavior??
I know some dogs are affected by high pitched sounds...

yep, all the sounds from the smoke detector freak Tbone out at our place. He shakes and pants and practically crawls me to be held. And it lasts a while after we shut the thing off, just because he gets so startled by it. I'd just watch for the behavior and if it tends to go away, I'm sure she is fine.
