Professional breeders have been studying this for years. It’s a disadvantage to them to keep the puppies longer because they have to pay for more shots, food, spend more time watching them and cleaning up after them. It’s done for the best interest of the puppy.

Lots of breeders do let them go earlier and that’s not bad, I just think it’s better and more responsible to wait a little longer. Puppies will bond to you whether you get them at 6 weeks or 16+ weeks it’s just been proven best for Yorkies to go around 12 weeks.
