Right now, the most frustrating thing.... My 15 wk old Lola has been with us for just a few days. I know she is still adjusting. She had been with another family who could not keep her. The thing I need help on is that it is hard to play with her without it involving biting. She does not bite when calm but then doesn't really want to play either. I feel like she is either sleeping or biting. I try really hard to get her to play with her toys while she is in her awake, alert state but it quickly turns into hyper mode. She also does not seem to sleep nearly as much as they say she might. 7 hrs at night, maybe 3 during the day off and on. I'm wondering if she is too overtired? The thing she likes best are those rawhides, but I am aware that they are bad. Yet, they keep her happy either by chewing or by a game whereshe "buries" them around the room. She is crate trained and goes for several walks a day. She gets bored from her toys easily and just wants to play attack with us. Any good toy suggestions? I do crate her when she gets into hyper mode and she settles right down happily.
Thanks guys. |
