you can go to
www.naturesvariety.com to read more info about it. They have different formulas. They have beef, chicken, chicken/turkey, lamb, venison and rabbit. It's been so long since I've tried the beef that I don't remember how "juicy" it was. I've found that the chicken and chicken/turkey are the "juiciest"...when I thaw them out, there is always a lot of liquid that drains from them. Thats one reason I quit the chicken/turkey because it kindof grossed me out. I've found that the venison and rabbit don't really get as juicy when they thaw. Even with the same protein source, some bags seem to thaw out juicier than others...I don't know why..guess different batches just mix a little different. But those two don't gross me out like the chicken/turkey did.
The Nature's Variety raw is raw meat, bones and organs ground up, along with some fruits and veggies. It's all ground up and mixed together and frozen into little one ounce medallions. They are probably like 2in in diameter by maybe an in thick. I always pull them apart to make it easier for Lacy to eat. No, I don't think it stinks. There's not much smell to it in my opinion.
