Have you tried soaking the kibble in a little water to soften it up? You might also try a teaspoon of cottage cheese on top or plain yogurt. Sometimes I had to coax Gizmo to eat a bite or two by hand first. Then, when he realized he was hungry, he would eat more on his own. (The first week or so we had him.)
