Mine just turned 5 mos old, she has been pee pad trained for quite a few weeks, although, she still likes to poop about 3 feet from the pee pad, but, at least gets to the laundry room to go..She has free roam of the house, up to the kitchen, like the other 3..I don't let any of them on my new carpet(even the 10 year old)..They stay in the family room/laundry room/kitchen, but, just today, the little one started chewing on my molding....
So, I wouldn't give him free roam unless you're right there with him, they will chew usually up until they're 1 year of age..
