That must have been scary! But you certainly didn't plan to injure him, so don't take it out on yourself!

I just had a similar experience. DH and I left early to do a few errands, and were gone about two hours. We came back to find Widdles choking and gagging, and I couldn't figure out why! I never leave choke-able treats out.....OMG..I look closer and he's got his collar backwards and the locking mechanism is in his mouth stuck way behind his teeth!! How on earth he got his collar in his mouth I have NO idea! I'm always super careful to make sure the collar is tight, but not too tight. I check it always because he's growing!

Finally, with DH's help, I got the buckle that was stuck behind his teeth undone, and the collar off...

All three dogs are now naked (no collars) and I will not put them on unless we are leaving the house.

Scary!!
