Default Is Having their teeth cleaned risky?

Kassie is scheduled to have her teeth cleaned and a lump removed from the top of her head. My question is can this be risky, she will be ten in July and had them done four years ago.. The lump on her head is not cancerous just some type of growth that she keeps having to have drained.

She was supposed to go this morning but had to be rebooked for friday as we got hit with another foot of snow.

Thanks in advance and Happy New Year to all.
