Default New Yorkie Owner

Hello. My name is Dena, I adopted Guinness McLovin' on November 24th. He was born on October 7th. He's a small little guy. Already using the wee wee pads, he does pretty good with them although he does miss occassionally.

I've never had a pure bred dog before, I've adopted all of my fur babies from the shelter. I'm very adamant about making sure I'm doing all the right things by him. From reading on here I'm noting some mistakes, I need to change his food immediately. The breeders had him in Science Diet and I continued that, but he's having some flakey skin, sorta like dandruff. I'm hoping it's just soap residue which I'm going to bathe him again, but I'm probably going to incorporate a new food anyhow.

He's teething and I have many many toys for him but he prefers fingers and toes. He's such a sweetie and we are really enjoying him.

I hope this community can help me learn more about my Yorkie so I can ensure he stays healthy.
