I always trim the hair around the butt...I normally use a #10 blade to clip the hair off right around it. I usually do it once a month. My parents used to have Rylie's belly and lower chest shaved because he would pee on himself, but since he's gotten older he doesn't get pee on his chest anymore. I've heard if you keep a little hair coming off the sheath, it helps the pee shoot in a downward position.
