When you get them, they are like a baby, they really don't have much control over their bladders..You need to take him out more than 2 hours, and you need to either take him outside, or use the pee pad, not both, as that's very confusing..I use the pee pads, just my preference. I would put mine on it everytime they got done playing, when they woke up, when they were done eating(with in about 10-15 min), when they got drinks..when they go, I would praise the heck out of them..sounds like he's getting too much freedom..Mine have all been put in the xpen a lot until they learned to use the pee pad..If I would catch them peeing anywhere else(not if you don't see them), I would take and put their nose down by it, and in a very stern voice tell them no, then would take them right to the pee pad..I never had any trouble housebreaking any of them..good luck |
