We are planning on eventually building a house as well.

One thing I know for definite sure I want is lighting under the kitchen cabinets/above the kitchen counter. I want the kind you can turn on and off with a switch so it doesn't take up another outlet being plugged in. The overhead light just doesn't reach there very well, especially when you are standing there chopping and you cast a shadow over your work area.

I like the idea of the electrical outlets in the closets as well! That's a GREAT idea!
