My my, I'm a little surprised such a tiny dog was sold to you at 9 weeks, a lot of breeders will keep them longer to be sure they are ready to go to their forever homes. Anyway, you might call the breeder and find out what type of bedding he was in before and try the same kind. A soft blanket, favorite toy and even somehow making his bedding very warm (hot water bottle, well padded heating pad on low, low low?) might work. Make sure any cord isn't within his chewing reach. As everyone mentioned, you will have to make arrangements for him to get to a pee pad or take him out about every hour, so it could be a potty issue too. Do you have food and water available at night? That's a must for little ones, as you probably know. I fully expected both Chloe and Lacey to cry for a few days but they did not. I handled them as puppies a lot, face, paws, tummy, ears, maybe trying that will give him the comfort he needs. I know it breaks your heart and tries your nerves, good luck. |
