Yes, they did an ultrasound and said there were shadows and couldn't be sure if they were stones or not. That's why they want to take a $125.00 x-ray.
I'm not sure what her pH is - I didn't even think to ask since I've never encountered this problem before with any othere cat or dog. Maybe I will call and see if they will tell me. So no, she has never had this before. I keep a potty pad down where she is not supposed to go and she tends to go there when she is straining to go - which is nice since I can watch for any more blood.
We'll see what happens when this round of antibiotics is done.
