Have you tried watching the Dog Whisperer on the National Geographical channel? He has good ideas about stopping this kind of behavior.

I'm currently working on my two who have issues with a running vaccum cleaner where they bark like crazy and try to eat the vaccum (Toby started this and got Shelby Rose to do it now too).

My husband and I just use Cesar's technique of the "hand bite" and saying shush and it really works!!
