Just three weeks ago, Kozanna was in a puppy mill in Tennessee where it is freezing now. I move very slowly around her, sit on the floor with her when she's out of her crate, and don't grab at her or anything like that. I don't reach down to her when I'm standing up. If I'm going to pick her up, I get down on her level and do it gently. I talk to her a lot. I've always talked to my Bichons, so that isn't anything new. Her big crate sits in the living room where she can see and hear everything that goes on. She's out to run around in the kitchen several times a day. I've ordered some panties for her so she can be loose more and run around with my Bichons. She will come to the side of the crate and lick my fingers when I go up to her and that's progress. If I leave, she gets all excited when I return just like my Bichons. She won't come to me when she's loose, but will lick my fingers. It's just going to take some time and I have plenty of that. She's a little cutie and I can't wait to see her enjoying life like a puppy should.
