I used playpen and it worked awesome... he slept thru the nite and picked up to going in litter pan with pee pads right away.. at nite i draped a blanket over it that helped alot... we have just transitioned him to kitchen gated off and after a few days he is doing great by going to pan on his own.. i would recomend porta crib play pen.. walmart for under 40 bucks
