I'm having a similar issue with my new 11wk old pup. He's been being tended for now when we're not available, but we're about to embark on leaving him alone for 3-6 hours.
I don't plan on doing this until I figure out where to get a good ex-pen.
Just tonight he was in his crate sleeping in the bedroom and we were in the living room having dinner, he was yelping & whining a ton
