 Heres what I do
cover three sides of the crate. My daughter has the crate up on the same level as her bed. The puppy faces her and she can put her hand in to calm the pup. We have a water bottle (like a rabit bottle) hanging so our baby can have water when ever she wants it. And she gets up to potty once a night. Put a nice blanket in so she can snuggle up to it, baby balnkets work great. I went to a thrift store and got a few for a couple of bucks. Congrats on your new baby!
