I agree-don't give him anything to eat, except for maybe some Nutri-Cal and possibly some Pedialyte after a few hours. That should give him some strength and keep him hydrated.
After 12 hours have passed without a bout of vomiting, you might try giving him a tablespoon of yogurt (plain or vanilla)-try one like Dannon Activa that has probiotics that aid in digestion. That will help to get him back on track, and he will probably like the way it tastes too!
