How much will it cost to fix? Any break, or soft tissue injury can cost HUNDREDS. Err on the side of caution *did I say that right?, and don't let him jump at all. Dogs are not known for logic or common sense and many owners are not either. Be smart. A couch is too high. (look at the length of the leg) unless he is landing on a thick, padded mat covered in a feather down comforter with pillows. Then, let him jump.
I once dropped my purse on my yorkies back. Emergency visit, X-rays, bandage, cortisone and pain meds proved to me that these tiny little balls of fluff need a little extra attention. Nothing was wrong. Just a bit of inflammation.
