 x-ray or ultrasound???
Hi, I'm new to this forum but I was hoping there would be someone here that could help me. I have 3 yr. old yorkie and she is pregnant with her first litter of pups. I have talked to my vet and researched endlessly about what to do and how to prepare. The one thing that I still have a problem with is whether to x-ray or ultrasound to check the size and number of pups she is having. My vet said to x-ray her as the ultrasound cannot accurately determine the size and how many pups she is carrying. She is 50 days today and her next vet appointment(she is scheduled for an x-ray)is on her 56th day. I am very worried that a x-ray may harm her or her pups, if we shouldn't be exposed to it while pregnant how can they say it's safe for a dog??
