Pups that are having a hypoglycemic episode usually have gums that are greyish or white. As long as the pup has pretty pink gums, she should be alright. I saw nutrical at Petco yesterday. I was surprised because I thought it was only available at the vets office but I was mistaken.

I'd keep the new pup isolated from anywhere the cat has been. I would think that the worms could be passed from one to the other unfortunately.
