Hi--How old is your puppy? My 4yr old at 12 weeks didn't exactly like the crate, and it was hard to put him in there but I was so frustrated by that point that I felt I wanted to take charge and that was the way to do it.
I had him since 9 weeks and he was sick... the crate at night saved me. I got up whenever he whined for more than a few minutes to let him out. Gradually I got up less- now he sleeps at the bottom of the bed- but it took a year to trust him.During thew day I just had him leashed to me and took him out often. I have a new little girl yorkie-she is about 14 weeks and I will be starting crate training this week. Sorry so long
