I was driving yesterday and came to a light and stopped. The couple in the car next to me were looking at Deegan in his booster seat and asked me if he was a Yorkie and I said yes, and they asked how old he was and I told them "almost 15 weeks". So their reply to that was "Oh, so he's a teacup?"
Deegan is almost 15 wks, and weighs in at about 4-4.5lbs. I hardly think that he's a teacup, especially seeing how he's not finished growing yet.
I just said "no, he's not". And that was the end of that. But I really do hate when people who don't know what they are talking about open their mouths.
I have really come to hate the term "teacup" because there really is no such thing, and it's frustrating to explain this to people who don't know anything about Yorkies, but think that they do. |
