I would make sure you are cleaning his area everytime you take his belly band off...this will help to prevent infection and that bad odor!! Our boys where belly bands most of the time and we find that the pee in them sometimes but for the most part they don't like to be in them if they are wet. It took Captain a while to get used to wearing it without peeing it but with some rewards when he didn't pee in it he is now doing great!!
