We will try this again. My point was NOT that you just breed 2lb. dogs. My point was that you breed to get "tiny" meaning below the standard of 4lbs. You also seemed thrilled with a 2lb. dog.
Breeders are starting to use the word tiny because they are aware that the word tea cup sends a negative message.
You confirmed that you try to get dogs that are tiny.
Doesn't matter and I don't care. My point was that when someone on this board mentions the tea cup people go nuts. It doesn't matter what you call it, breeding to have small dogs is breeding to have small dogs. I am not judging it, I am stating a fact.
My first post was asking why people aren't upset by this? I am not upset by it. I really tried to find a tiny dog from a legitimate breeder. And the posters here, the YTCA and the AKC go nuts over that. So, is it okay to breed for tiny or not? THAT was my original question.
Glad to hear you treat your dogs well and you don't breed smaller females.

Well all i can say is the reason i started breeding is cause i love the yorkies and for yrs wanted one but my kids were to small and i would never have had one back then so now they are all grown and are men now
so i went out to buy a yorkie and i just loved her soo and i meet a very good breeder who helped me to breed she has been breeding for over 20 yrs a mentor so to speak
well i made a promise i would breed the dogs as to the standard i would like to buy and the looks i would buy and my opionion and mine only is the 3-4 lbs are the greatest size for apts and pets can take them anywhere not to big not to small
the reason i was telling kim about my little fella was cause he is so tiny and belive me its not easy to make sure they are ok
so as a breeder i rather anyday to breed the bigger yorkies that dont need lots of hrs of care its very hard
so thats my story i dont breed what i wouldnt want myself and i made sure of it health wise and size wise and i get lots of calls everyday people saying i dont want any bigger than 4 lbs and prefer 3 or less
thats my experience as a breeder the tinier the better for most people i talk with and the ones with kids i do not sell to unless the dog will be 5 lbs
