12 - I had just arrived in Denver with one of my cousins (male & the same age as me) to visit our aunt who did not have children. The next morning, really early I heard the phone ring & my aunt start crying. My cousin Neil & I were sleeping in bunk beds and my aunt came in & got Neil. His older brother, my favorite cousin, had been driving late at night & crossing an old unused railroad track with no lights or crossing arms - but a train had derailed earlier in the day & they were bringing it back around on these old tracks. Charlie struck the train & was dragged. He was killed along with the brother of his finacee.
