Can you possibly drive to Seattle, fly to Colorado and pick the puppy up, fly back to Seattle and then drive home to Vancouver? I think that would be the fastest for you and you can take your little one right on board the flight to Seattle. I didn't like the idea of shipping my puppy and found that I felt a whole lot better flying out to get her, even though it was a whirlwind exhausting trip. It was a little pricey, but it got her home safely and I like to think it was less stressful for her. I know that AirCanada doesn't allow pets, but so many of the US airlines do allow them during the winter season if you have them in the cabin with you.
