I've only had Piper for a short while and when I first got her I was absolutely sure I would not put clothing on my dog. Ever. Well, after understanding that she has no undercoat and will get cold. And understanding how her little trachea can get injured with a collar, I now have lots of cute clothes that have D rings on them and use them as her harnesses. It's the perfect combination of being practical and stylish at the same time. I still get picked on for the clothing and the bows in the hair, but I feel like I can say that if the dog needs a coat and a harness..and a bow to hold the hair out of her eyes...then hey, why not have it be chic or fun?
I think everyone should do what they like with their dogs. If the dog hated the clothing, I can guarantee it would be off in a minute. Yorkies are so good at making sure they are comfortable!
