I didn't know she was because she wasn't gaining weight or even showing any signs of there being pups in the oven. I must have completely missed her going into heat. I'm just glad there were no complications. This was a pretty cool whelping for it catching me off guard. I was cleaning house when I heard my hubby say ummmm babe I think you're having puppies. I ran to Lexi and sure enough she had already had one puppy.
