I have a JRT who has slept in his crate every night for the past 8 years, without a peep. When we got Cooper, I was hoping that he would sleep also want to sleep in his crate. The first night he started to cry, so I plugged in a night light and put my hand near the cage. Since then all has been well. He wakes up once a night and I take him to his pee pad. He goes right back to sleep when he is done.
In his crate I have a blanket and soft toy that the breeder sent home with him. The first night I also put an article of my clothing.
