 Introducing the Leash
I have a 10 week old puppy (it's my Diva's puppy), who has been introduced to going outside. At first, it was just taking her outside to let her frolick in the grass with Diva & Foxxy. Now she's ready to explore & go a little further...so I put a harness on her & was going to take her just down the sidewalk a little...well she would not budge...I didn't want to pull or drag her but as soon as she would start walking & felt that she was on a leash, she stopped & would either sit there or just look at me. So after a few minutes of that, I just brought her back in the house. I figured I'd do that a little each day until she got the hang of it but was wondering if anyone else has suggestions or other ways of starting a puppy off with walking. |
