The Loreal is just one step. It takes time to learn how to put it on and the coverage you want without making it look cakey. I have never tried the Neutrogena but my sister did and she took it back and got the Loreal. You have to make sure to put just a little bit of powder on the brush before appling and I don't apply it right after I moisturize because I find it cakes worse. Also it took 2 tries to get the color right. The first one I got at Rite Aide and I took it back for a refund, and the second I got from Wal-Mart and that color worked for me.
