 Has your yorkie had serious health problems?
We will be bringing home our new puppy sometime in February, I am just curious how many of your yorkies have had serious health problems. I am quite aware that owning a yorkie will include some hefty vet bills and I'm already looking into pet insurance but after talking with my sister-in-law who owns two boxers, it doesn't seem these pet insurance companies cover a lot of the health problems that are common in certain breeds.
After some reading, it looks as if hypoglycemia, liver, and teeth problems seem to be the most common.
My boyfriends mother says time after time.... don't get purebred! They have too many health problems. Eeeerrr!
