a raw diet including raw meaty bones is the only diet that actually cleans their teeth, so the pre-made ground up raw does not. However, plaque and tarter does not build up on the teeth like it does with kibble or canned food. I brush Lacy's teeth once a week when I bath her, and her teeth are clean and white. I do give her bully stix to chew on sometimes as well but I don't know if they actually clean her teeth.
