Everything I read says the average Yorkie weighs approx. 7lbs unless its a tea cup yorkie and then it would weigh less. Do I have an unusually large Yorkie????? |
I met a family last week that has 6 yorkies...5 of them are related...they have 2 siblings that range in weight from 5 lbs to 24 lbs
I didn't think to ask if they were from the same litter, but they did have the same parents. The parents were in the 7 lb range. The 24 lb one was the biggest yorkie I've ever seen, but he was adorable! They said he was the best cuddler
I don't breed, but from what I've heard there is no way to guarantee the size of a yorkie regardless of the parents sizes.
