Default Recessive Blue Gene in Yorkies

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about a yorkie being born with a recessive blue gene being present and if so, would you care to share it or lead me in the right direction to read information on it!

I am new to this forum and just got my new baby, Drake! I knew when I got him that he was born this way, which is why I got him....he's a special little guy! I was just wanting to find information or talk with someone who might know something about this!

All I've learned is that their hair will not grow normally and may even fall out in places! I've read one place that they usually don't survive past the first few days and then I've read it doesn't affect their health at all, so I'm totally confused! He's 10 weeks old and just as energetic as any puppy....happy & healthy!

Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading!
