When I buy my next yorkie, it will be from a reputable breeder. Even though I am looking for a yorkie as a pet only, it is still VERY important to me to buy from a good breeder...one that breeds to the standard, shows their dogs in conformation, health tests their dogs, knows their lines, breeds for a certain temperament, requires pets to be spayed/neutered and sold on limited registration, preferably on the prefered YTCA breeder referral list, etc. There may be a few reputable CKC breeders out there like Bama, but they are few and far between...I will be looking at AKC show breeders when I'm ready to add another baby to my family. To me it doesn't matter if you are looking for a show dog or just a pet...the puppy really ought to come from a breeder that breeds to improve the breed..a reputable one. No point in supporting bybs in my opinion
