Sorry to hear about your little Rocco. Pancreatitis is such a problem during the holidays when dogs eat fatty foods they shouldn't have.

While it can be very serious, even life threatening, most dogs recover and do fine if they aren't given any foods that can trigger pancreatitis. You want to make sure he doesn't get it again, though, as I'm sure you will once you get the bill.

A co-worker's father gave her Yorkie a tiny piece of ham over Thanksgiving a few years ago. Sugar got very, very ill and ran up a $1,500 bill at the emergency vet's. You better believe no one ever fed her table scraps again!
