Well where do I start--he has started to eat his stools (this just started in the last 24 hours). His hyperactivity has increased, he can't seem to sit still or sleep much. We have had brittney spaniels for 10 years who are hyper activite, they are a dog you either love or hate. But buddy is like a kid on a 12pack of mountain dew the last couple of days. Barking is now a big fascination for him instead of just doing it when he wants something. The chewing I can deal with because I know he will be getting his big boy teeth soon. I am just not sure if the puppy stages go by sooner because he is such a small dog, or we have honestly asked each other if there is anything he could have gotten into to make his behavior change so rapidly. I have noticed on the site that most people recommend they stay with their mom until 10-12 weeks but Buddy is 14 weeks and we have had him since he was about 8 weeks. Due to the rapid change of behavior we have eliminated the treats he was getting for using the litterbox like a good boy, thinking it might be something in there. |
