Hi. I'm new to your site and I'll get right to the point. My wife and I went to her Oncologist's office today for an appointment. While there, we saw a delighted fellow-patient who had just received a YT pup from a friend. Seeing his interaction with the pup inspired me.

My wife is an at home cancer patient, forced to medically retire from her job this year. She's in her early 50's and I feel we could both benefit from the love, affection and cuddles of an adorable YT.

She wants a female, and we can't afford a fancy breeder's price. We also prefer to start with a puppy.

Anyway, I'm hopeful some folks here can guide me in my search. Also, maybe you know of a site that helps medical patients find companions.

Am I shamelessly appealing to your emotions? You bet I am. I'll do whatever I can to put more smiles on my beautiful wife's face.

All that I've said about her illness is true and can be verified if you feel I'm trying to scam you. She was dianosed with Stage IV Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer in January, 2005 (she's been a non-smoker for 25 years, and a vegetarian - the diagnoses floored us). Don't despair, she's doing well with her chemo and we have a strong bond with incredible family, work and community support. I just thought a Yorkie would be a pleasant addition to our therapy.
