You're right..I'm sure a lot of celebrities love their dogs. A lot of people give Paris Hilton a lot of flack...but I've never seen her rehome any of her dogs. I was very disspointed when she bought one of her chihuahuas from Bel Air Pet store
but other than that I think she really loves her pets.
Now Britney Spears pisses me off because she has rehomed and replaced her dogs a few times...that's just wrong. It's one thing to rehome a pet because you have no choice but it's another to rehome them and then replace them

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
