You're right..I'm sure a lot of celebrities love their dogs. A lot of people give Paris Hilton a lot of flack...but I've never seen her rehome any of her dogs. I was very disspointed when she bought one of her chihuahuas from Bel Air Pet store but other than that I think she really loves her pets.

Now Britney Spears pisses me off because she has rehomed and replaced her dogs a few times...that's just wrong. It's one thing to rehome a pet because you have no choice but it's another to rehome them and then replace them

Purchasing from backyard breeders, pet shops, and puppymills perpetuates the suffering of other dogs.
Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
