I didn't want to "spoil" her with canned food, but her kibble just isn't cutting it.... she eats human grade food with plenty of nutrients, but she must not be eating enough. Anyways, after the scare she gave us last night, I have decided to spoil her til the cows come home... this kid is eating canned food, ground beef, whatever it takes to get her fat and keep her CONSCIOUS! We feel very fortunate today.
I am glad to hear she is doing ok now! I also have a very petite girl, she is a year and a half and weighs 3lbs. I keep dry food down at all times and at night feed her wet food with a bit of dry mixed in. I keep nutrical in my cupboard and give that to her once in a while. I also feed her cooked vegies and small amounts of fruit. The vet says she is very healthy just tiny. I also watch her when she eats to make sure she does eat it; if she gets distracted and wanders off to play, Bailey will eat her food and Bailey does not need two dinners. It also helps if I warm up her food, she eats it much better.
