I wasn't sure they would stay in either. For Roxy - since she is just 3 1/4 lb, I did roll up a t-shirt and stuff it in the stocking. I probably could have done it for Bubba too, because in the end, his stocking looked a bit flat & he is only 4 1/2 lbs. They did squirm a bit, but I think they were more shocked by where they were & I always say fun things when I take their picture - like "Treats??"
You could always do it now, while you still have the Christmas stuff out & save it for your Christmas picture next year
