Default same issue here...

Chewy is 1 & 1/2 years old... We just got Sadie...10 weeks. I was very worried and thought I would keep them apart. I introduced them in our hall way where there was nothing but space. Chewy LOVED her!!!! he was very gentle and sweet!

She was scared but warmed up a little at a time. Chewy has all the freedom, and Sadie is watched all the time, but when she is awake she is running around and playing. Chewy gets into this thing where he wants to ignore her! And that is fine. But we pay tons of attention to Chewy all the time. Extra treats and tons of praise when ever he is being good. He is gentle with her.... I am amazed at how much he loves her. they are both sleeping on my bed right now a few inches from each other...let your dog try to be with the puppy and always be right there.... But unless there is a problem I would not seperate. Good luck and congrats!
