There are new meds for car sickness without the side affect of sleepiness, please check with your vet. Another good alternative is a 1/4 -1/2 of a ginger snap cookie. Ginger helps with nauseousness. Give the cookie about 15-20 minutes before going in the car. Hope this helps.
