I don't have this problem with my yorkie - as he is crazy about going bye bye, but we did have a maltese that would get sick at the mention of taking a ride. The vet told us to give her half of a motion sickness pill like dramamine. This did the trick for her (also made her kinda sleepy, but it was well worth it considering the alternative). You should definitely confirm this with your vet and get a recommendation based on your yorkies weight, but Sophie was about 5-6lbs and we gave her half of one. It worked like a charm.
The vet also said this was a common problem with puppies and that they outgrow it. Sophie didn't, but if yours is still a puppy, it may be something that gets better with time. |
